How It Works

Anonymous Mode in 4 Steps

Here is exactly what happens when a staff member sends an anonymous reply through modmail.

Step 1

Staff composes a reply

A staff member types their response in the modmail thread, just like a normal reply.

Step 2

Anonymous toggle is active

Either globally enabled or toggled per-message, the anonymous flag tells the bot to mask the sender.

Step 3

Bot sends with server identity

The message is sent to the user showing the server name and avatar instead of the individual staff member.

Step 4

Logs preserve real identity

The staff thread and all transcripts still show exactly which staff member sent the message for full accountability.
