Custom Commands V3Beta

Publish once, install anywhere

The Daily question module can stay private and travel by link, or it can go on the marketplace where any SCNX server finds it. Every server that installs it picks its own channels and its own times, updates reach them when you ship one, and reviews come from servers that run it.

From your server to everyone's

A module you publish starts out private. It is live and installable, but only for the people you send the link to, and it never turns up when somebody browses or searches the marketplace. That is how you hand a module to a friend, to a second server of your own, or to a server you look after.

When you want everyone to find it, you apply for a public listing and answer a few questions about it. We read every one of those ourselves. A public module shows up in browse, in search and under its tags, and the modules on the featured shelf are picked by the team.

You publish as an organisation: a publisher account you create for your team, with its own members and its own page on the marketplace. Before your first module goes out it needs somewhere people can reach you for support, and the module itself needs a name, a description and a line about each thing it does.

Every version is checked automatically before it can be installed anywhere, and you can run that check yourself while you are still building. Once your module is public, one of us reads each new version on top of that. The check looks at whether the module does what its page says, whether member data stays inside the server that installed it, and whether it follows the content rules.

Every decision names its reasons, and you can appeal it from your own listing. While a new version is being read, the version servers already installed keeps running.

Why publish

Publishing is not a business plan. Here is what it does get you.

Reach

Any SCNX server can find your module by browsing, by searching or by tag, and it turns up next to the modules people install alongside it.

A page of your own

What it does, your guides, your FAQ, screenshots and reviews in one place you can send people to.

Numbers

How many servers have it installed, how many installed it in total, how many left, and which version they are on. Counts only, never which server did what.

Invites for your friends

We can give your organisation a batch of beta invites to hand out. They expire 14 days after we hand them over, and a server that redeems one still turns V3 on itself.

Recognition

A featured shelf, editorial collections, and a community that can see what you built.

About money: every module on the marketplace is free to install. There is no price field, no checkout and no revenue share for Custom Commands V3 modules. You publish because you want your work used.

Publishing, answered

No. Every module on the marketplace is free to install. There is no price field, no checkout and no revenue share for Custom Commands V3 modules. You publish for reach, feedback and a page of your own.

Want your server in the beta?

V3 is a large system and it still moves fast, so servers come in one at a time instead of all at once. Every application is read by a person, and you hear back within a few days.

The servers already in the beta decide a good part of what we build next. What you build is yours: flows and modules stay when the beta ends.
