Turn forum tags into topics
Map your forum channel's tags to topics. Each tag can get its own welcome message and be marked as priority - so one forum channel handles many kinds of requests, each the right way.

One forum channel, many kinds of requests
Tag a thread and the matching topic decides how it's welcomed and where it sits in the queue.
Add tags in Discord
Create the tags you want on the forum channel itself (Edit Channel → Tags).
Map a tag to a topic
In the dashboard, link each tag to a topic and configure it.
Threads get the right welcome
Open a thread with that tag and it uses the topic's custom welcome.
Priority topics jump ahead
Mark a topic as priority and its threads sort to the front of the queue.
A custom welcome for every tag
Give each forum tag its own welcome message - posted and pinned when a thread opens with that tag, instead of the channel's default. Billing questions can ask for an invoice ID; bug reports can ask for reproduction steps. Same channel, the right greeting every time.

Configure each topic to taste
Every topic is just a forum tag plus a few settings - set them once and the bot does the rest.
Tag
The forum tag this topic applies to. Threads opened with it use the topic's settings.
Welcome message
A custom welcome posted and pinned for threads with this tag.
Priority
When on, threads with this tag are sorted ahead of everyone in the queue.
Role-based priority too
Prefer to prioritize by who asked? Per-channel role priority feeds the same queue.
Two ways to prioritize, one queue
Marking a topic as priority is the simplest way to bump a whole category. If you'd rather prioritize by who opened a thread - say a Customer role - use per-channel role priority instead. Both feed the same staff queue, so you can mix them freely.
Prioritize by tag
Mark a topic as priority and its threads jump the queue.
Prioritize by role
Per-channel priority bumps threads opened by chosen roles.

Where topics shine
One well-tagged forum can serve very different requests without extra setup.
Bump urgent categories
Mark Billing or Outage as priority so they're always handled first.
VIP customers and partners
Pair topic priority with role priority to look after key members.
One channel, many request types
Run Questions, Bugs, and Billing through a single forum, each greeted right.
Frequently Asked Questions
A topic maps one of your forum channel's tags to smart behavior. Each topic can have its own welcome message and be marked as priority, so a single forum channel can handle different kinds of requests appropriately.

Threads carrying that tag are sorted ahead of everyone else in the staff queue, so urgent categories are handled first. It's the simplest way to prioritize a whole category.
Yes. Per-channel Priority can bump threads opened by chosen roles, and you can set a dedicated priority welcome for them. Topic priority and role priority both feed the same queue, so you can use either or both.
They behave normally and use the channel's default welcome message. You only need topics for the tags you want to treat differently.
