Trust & Safety

Safety, support & accountability

Whether you've used a bot built on SCNX, want to report abuse, are a parent with questions, law enforcement, or a security researcher - this page points you to the right place.

Used a bot built on SCNX?

Many people reach this page after meeting an SCNX-powered bot on a Discord server. That bot was added and set up by the server's own team using our tools - so for how it behaves, its rules, or its content, the server's moderators are your first stop. If a bot or feature is being misused, report it to us below.

Just need everyday support?

What is SCNX - and how does Discord fit in?

SCNX is a platform that helps Discord communities run a custom bot, a support system and a management dashboard. Server owners add our tools to their own Discord server to handle things like moderation, tickets and automation.

Discord is a separate chat app (made by a different company) where people join spaces called "servers" to message, talk and share. It sets its own minimum age, which varies by region.

Two things matter most for safety: SCNX is not a chat service and does not host conversations, and every Discord server is run by its own owner and moderators - they set the rules and are responsible for what happens there. We provide the tools; the server's staff decide how they're used.

We build the tools

SCNX provides bots and a dashboard that server owners install on their own server.

Server staff run the community

The owner and moderators of each Discord server control its rules, members and content.

Discord hosts the chat

Conversations happen on Discord's platform, not on SCNX.

Age & parental consent

Discord sets its own minimum age, which varies by region. SCNX has a higher, fixed requirement: you must be at least 16 to create and use an SCNX account, and anyone aged 16 to 18 needs the consent of a parent or guardian.

What we can - and can't - act on

It helps to know where SCNX's reach ends and where Discord's begins.

On the SCNX platform - we can act

  • SCNX accounts and dashboard access
  • Bot configurations and setups made with our tools
  • Content generated through SCNX features
  • Misuse of SCNX services or a breach of our terms

On Discord - we can't moderate

  • Messages, voice and content inside a Discord server
  • A server's members, rules or moderation decisions
  • Anything happening on Discord outside our tools

For those, contact the server's own moderators or use Discord's reporting and safety tools.

In immediate danger?

If someone is at risk of harm right now, contact your local emergency services or the police first - not us. For example: 112 across the EU (110 for police in Germany), or 911 in the US.

Report abuse or harmful content

If you've seen harassment, illegal content, or someone misusing SCNX's tools, let us know. The fastest way is our report form - you can also email us directly.

Helpful details to include

  • Links or IDs (server, user, or message) involved
  • What happened, and when
  • Screenshots or other evidence, if you have them
  • Whether anyone is in immediate danger

What happens after you report

We review every report. Where it concerns our platform, we can act - for example warning or suspending an account, or removing content hosted by our tools. What happens inside a Discord server itself is up to that server's staff and Discord.

Appeals & compliance

Want to appeal an action we took on your SCNX account or content, or raise another non-urgent compliance matter? Email [email protected].

For parents & guardians

If you're here because you're worried about a young person, you're in the right place. Here's how things fit together - and what you can do.

Most concerns about messages, members or content relate to a specific Discord server. Because that server is run by its own moderators (not by SCNX), the quickest help is usually to contact that server's staff, or to use Discord's own reporting and safety tools.

About Discord

Discord is the chat app where the community lives. It has its own Family Centre, safety settings and a minimum age that varies by region. Their Safety Centre is the best place for guidance on parental controls and reporting.

Discord Safety Centre

What you can do

  • Talk to the server's moderators about the content or member that worries you.
  • Use Discord's report and block tools, and review Discord's safety settings together.
  • If an SCNX tool is being misused, or you can't reach anyone, report it to us and we'll look into it.

How we protect your data

SCNX is run by a German company, so the EU's GDPR applies to how we handle personal data. We process data within the European Union and keep it to what's needed to run the service.

When a server owner uses SCNX to run their community, they are the data controller - they decide what is collected and why. SCNX acts only as their data processor, handling that data strictly on their documented instructions and never for our own purposes. This split is set out in our Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Our Privacy Policy covers what we collect to run the service, why, and the rights you have, such as access and deletion.

GDPR-aligned

Operated from Germany under EU data-protection law.

Processed in the EU

Your data is handled within the European Union.

DPA available

A Data Processing Agreement for server owners.

Are you a community member with a data request?

If a server uses SCNX and you want to access, correct or delete your data, the server's operator is the data controller - so your GDPR request (access, deletion, and so on) should go to them, not to us. As their processor, we help them fulfil it. If you genuinely can't reach the operator, contact us and we'll do our best to point you the right way.

How we keep SCNX safe

A few of the things we do on our side of the platform.

We act on reports

Every abuse report is reviewed. We can warn, suspend or remove SCNX accounts and tool-hosted content that breaks our terms.

AI with guardrails

AI features run through moderation checks, and our AI FAQ is grounded in the content a server provides rather than answering from open-ended knowledge.

Built under EU law

We are a German company operating under the GDPR - we process data in the EU and keep it to what the service needs.

Responsible disclosure

A coordinated security program lets researchers report vulnerabilities safely.

Watch out for impersonation & scams

SCNX, ScootKit and our staff will never DM you first on WhatsApp, SMS or Discord to ask for payments, gift cards, passwords, 2FA codes or remote access to your device. Official billing only happens inside scnx.app and through our payment provider. If someone contacts you claiming to be us and pressures you to pay or share access, it's a scam.

Common questions

Is SCNX affiliated with Discord?

No. SCNX is an independent product of ScootKit UG and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord. Discord is a separate company and platform.

Can you ban a user or delete a message on a Discord server?

No. We do not control Discord servers. A server’s own moderators handle its members, messages and rules, and Discord handles platform-level enforcement. We can only act on the SCNX platform itself.

Someone might be in immediate danger - what should I do?

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or the police first - for example 112 across the EU, 110 for police in Germany, or 911 in the US. You can also report it to Discord. We can not intervene in real time on Discord, but you can still let us know about misuse of our tools.

How do I get my data deleted?

If it is data a server collected using SCNX, that server's operator is the controller - send your request to them. For your own SCNX account data, contact our support team directly.

How can I reach you?

Use our report form or email [email protected]. Our registered company details are in the imprint.

I just need normal help with SCNX - where do I go?

This page is only for safety, abuse and legal matters. For everyday questions - billing, your account, setup help, or anything about the product - use our regular customer support instead. It reaches the right team faster.
